On April 1, 2016, Platts launched two new dirty barge assessments for cross-Rotterdam and Rotterdam-Antwerp routes.
The new assessments reflect established trade routes for fuel oil transported on barges in the Amsterdam-Rotterdam-Antwerp (ARA) area, and are based on double-hull barge tonnage. The assessments are published on a $/mt basis to reflect how these routes are traded.
ROTTERDAM TO ROTTERDAM: This assessment reflects movements of dirty barges between terminals in the Rotterdam harbor, carrying a 4,000 mt cargo of fuel oil.
ROTTERDAM TO ANTWERP: This assessment reflects a dirty barge route from Rotterdam to Antwerp, carrying a 4,000 mt cargo of fuel oil.
These new assessments are published in Platts Dirty Tankerwire and Platts Tanker Alert page PGA – MH1980.
